New Dallas Speed Shop
One of Shelby's mod shops is opening in Farmer's Branch, supposedly around now. It's not affiliated with Unique at all.

Is this the place where Gary M is now working? I heard something about this at the Car Show Colleen had. Don't remember the details, tho'. Is it in the same BUILDING where Unique 'was'??? probably not... they just got seized a couple of weeks ago, i guess. I went to Unique's 'open house' when Carroll S. was there, introducing the Eleanor. First person in line to get my FOUR ITEMS signed for $100. (total; $25 each ;) ) quite the bargain, at the time. Bill Neale was there as well.... Oct. 04. Amazing what all has happened in 3 years, isn't it?? I want to do a few mods on the 500. I hope this isn't the shop that just got busted for producing fake early Mustang GT's. Saw it on the news just tonight. The news presented it as a shop finding early model GT's, removing the VIN #, and installing fake ones. A number of folks have already been ripped off.
Wheww.... at least I KNOW mine is an "A" with just the stickers. |
Well I just checked it out on CBS 11's web site, and it was Unique. Looks like someone might be going to jail!!!!

I spoke with Gary M. at Dallas Mustang Show and he confirmed that Quantum Performance (www.quantum-perf.com) will open across the street from Sam Pack's antique collection on Diplomat. They are putting together a first class program with certified mechanics, Shelby & Ford Racing and quality after-market parts/products, full service shop with dyno-tuning, focusing on Mustangs, GT500's, Cobra's, and "Unleasching" the power and performance of your ride. Check out their web site...they are a Shelby Endorsed Shop!
They are installing equipment, and preping their new digs for the CO inspection. They hope to open by Thanksgiving. I say welcome. Quality guys, new service equipment, and certified mechanical skills = happy customers with high performance cars. |
I say welcome too. Especially since they're practically in my back yard!!
Maybe we should do a shop tour once they get a chance to get settled. Kristen, if Mr. Morris is working over there, I'd ask him about their capability to upgrade your supercharger, lower the car, put on the Baer brakes, the cold air intake, the underdrive pulley, put the louvers on the back, Borla exhaust, tell me when to stop.... Speaking of Sam Pack's collection. It's time someone help plan a trip over there. Been a couple of years and us newbies haven't been. |
