Shelby - Back To The Future Magazine
Hey Tom Thumb has the new Shelby Back To The Future Magazine in stock. 162 pages of pure pleasure reading/pictures....They had about 6 copies at the Frisco store I was in tonight.

Albertson's has it too... scope out the latest in timepieces advertised in the pages.
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...helbywatch.jpg "Italian watchmaker Anonimo Firenze is releasing a pair of Carroll Shelby-themed wristwatches this month. The launch is timed to coincide with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. As for the baubles themselves, they're pretty nice-looking. The Anonimo Shelby Mark II SE is based on the company's Cronoscorpio 2018 Mark II, is branded with the Shelby Cobra logo and is finished with either a black-and-silver or black-and-gold dial. Additionally, the back of the watch features an engraved Cobra logo. The special run is limited to 1000 pieces (500 in each dial color combo). The watches arrive in a box featuring Carroll Shelby's signature and are packaged with multiple straps, to boot. As you might have guessed, these are not inexpensive items, and they carry a retail price of $5,500." I'll take two; I can always get my powerplant a little later. |
picked up two at Barnes and Noble today. The two Kroger's I went to didn't have any.
Don't suppose they have that watch in 'ladies' style. I noticed it right off, too, but have seen it elsewhere. Quantum Perf. has an ad, i think. Isn't that where J. Mango and G. Morris are doing their thing??? k |
anyway... guess i'm gonna go to bed and read my new 'hip' for the 'young' crowd magazine!!!
(well i am younger than all of ya'll, right???? ;) ) :D Do you think that watch is 'real' gold or gold plate??? ;) :D what could i do with $5,500????!!!!! boobs... lipo..... boobs...lipo.... boobs.....lipo.....  |

new Borla exhaust... pulley's..... hmmmmmm $5.5K is alotta dough!!!! |
5K$ for an italian watch ????? %/ :o
|
$5.5K for a rolex sure, but not for a watch with a very limited resale market. It would be interesting to see what their resale value is a few years out. I personally would not consider it. The watch maker is using an movement that they purchased from ETA (http://thewatch-watch.blogspot.com/2...o-watches.html) and I found ETA movements (may not be the same but a good price comparison at http://www.ofrei.com/page893.html) for $125.
Bottom line, $125 movement in an Italian case and Carol signs the box. So I see about $5K in profit potential per watch. Interesting..... James |
I,m sorry folks,---- I just can't resist this.
If this watch is an "original", will there be a continuation series, and who will be licenced to build the replicas? |

Watches
There were other attemps to market high end Shelby watches in the past. I remember a guy going car to car trying to sell them at a convention with your serial number engraved on the back.
I haven't seen him around lately so I assume the project flopped. Those were about a thou in stainless. Anyone remember those? |
