Poor Kristen

Ran across this 2006 Run N Gun video.
I'm not sure what Kristen did to piss off the starter, but he knew where he wanted her on the track!

actually

Dan Harmon the starter for Gateway is just following my instructions and HLC's wishes. We had just bumped her up a class because she was truly going too fast for the novices and just a little slower than the next class. It was her request to start at the back.

If I were you guys that have not competed against her... I would be afraid...very afraid....is that speeled right:LOL:

She is a better driver than she thinks and I would bet that she could beat a lot of you guys.

Jay

I shot that!

There were a lot of famous people in that video .. James Yale in the red #44 Daytona, and WildBill in the light blue Daytona. PeteK in the blue 550 Cobra, Woodsie in the Brock Coupe .. and HLC politely hanging back ;) Shot that with my little Canon Elph, if you can believe that! Went to dinner that night with Kris, Jay N, and Clois and got pretty drunk ;) God what fun!!

Dang, I opened this thread thinking something happened!

MadMile442, you must write for a newspaper.

:)

Tru, I did the same thing. I was just happy to see that it was about her starting at the back. I doubt if she will be staying in the back in any class for very long.

Ron :)

Jay

I know, Jay, I have actually heard that story before I found the video. Just cracked me up to find the film evidence.

But Jay are you throwing down on Kristen's behalf? Do I smell the tender cracklings of competition smoldering?
At Tulsa, how about Loser Buys Lunch. We all get transponders and slowest lap buys lunch.
(Look at me just lobbing that out - shoot, based on my agricultural driving, I'll be the waiter here...:o )

Glad Kristen is ok!
I am guessing they figured that gorgeous ERA with such a talented driver would need to work a little for the win...........LOLOL

jdean 02-24-2008 06:48 PM

I was ahead of Kristen on the track at Hallet........for a minute. I quickly decided to wave her past me.

If any of you saw her after she had to put up with a slow driver during some non-passing laps, you are aware of the wrath she can dispense.....my oh my!!
