Windshield glass replacement in DFW area?

Has anyone found a source for the Cobra windshield glass? ERA does not have one in stock at the moment so I am exploring other options. This is the generic English frame, I believe. But I am wondering if one can be cut from flat DOT glass. Ideas?

Try Finishline (finishlineaccessories.com), bethania-garage.com, and cobra restrorers. There are also a couple vendors that sell Cobra windshield glass on ebay.

Sam,
Sorry to read of your broken windshield.Really Sucks.

Have you tried Lone Star Classics ?
I have no idea if they are the correct size or not, worth a call though to find out.

You may want to consider Lexan. The cost is nearly the same as glass and you won't have any more cracks or major rock chips.

Sorry to hear that Sam. What happened? That is one that I cannot show up with my Multimeter and trace down. :(

The sad story :(

The guys that went to AER last Sat already heard this .. let this be a lesson to those with 4 post lifts:

The Cobra (Dirty Sally) has been sleeping in the top bunk. When I went to get her down so I could do some detailing prior to the AER Show, the emergency rip cord toggle for the garage door opener was caught between the sunvisor and the window frame. I did not see this and was not looking up as I let the lift down. The tension on the cord pulled the window frame apart and cracked the glass before it let go. I am sure most of you know how that felt :CRY: Anyway, I disassembled the window frame, took the glass out and then pounded the frame back into shape with a rubber mallet, using the granite kitchen counter and newspapers for a cushion. Put it all back together and it is functional. Big diagonal crack from the sun visor mount to the lower left corner.

Thanks all for the suggestions on sources. Fred, I was eyeballing the Lone Star cars at the show and they seem to use a slightly taller windshield. I'm not positive. So I will probably start with Cobra Restorers .. he has done some ERA cars, so he might have an idea if I am really generic.

I know a bunch of Cobras are using Lexan, but I will hold off as I am concerned about our recently more strict annual inspections in TX.
