Lancaster Warbirds Show this Sat
This looks cool. I've always wanted a photo of the Cobra next to a fighter.
It is from 10am - 4pm. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...Flyeredit1.jpg |
Miles - If you don't make this event, let me know. I can set something up at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

ahhhh- something like this!??? I would LOVE to take the Mustang to a flight show and take a photo with a p-51!!
I know at some point Jim will hook us up with the Cavanaugh again to do that. It was AWESOME with the cobra and the whole group. Very enjoyable. Miles. Do you know when you are going?? Times??? I didn't see a time on the brochure. oooops! you wrote it-- 10-4. I might try to make it. Don't hold me to it though. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...05DSC01009.JPG http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...05DSC01019.JPG |
What a beautiful day!
50 or so cars and some real beauties. I'm having paint envy!! Didn't come home with any hardware (as expected) but lots of compliments. Several of the North Texas Mustang Club guys were there and Gary Neirich (sp?) won a plaque with his gorgeous '69 Mach 1. I was told this Russian plane is the largest single engine prop plane. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_0994.jpg F4UD Corsair with wings folded up before flight exhibition. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_0998.jpg ZEKE!!!! http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_0999.jpg Awesome restoration on this trainer. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1002.jpg Nose detail http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1001.jpg Random Image One http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1003.jpg Random Image Two http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1004.jpg Random Image Three http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1005.jpg Haven't got the pro shots yet and I haven't touched these up yet, but got some with the Corsair. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1017.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1014.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_1007.jpg |
Miles! Those F4U shots could be posters! The Cobra and black Corsair complement each other very well :) Sorry I couldn't be there!

Great pics Miles...I'll bet you are glad you had them bring the airplane that matches your Cobra!

Picture Perfect
Miles
Sammy is right on the money... what a complement to 2 classics - a Corsair and a Cobra. It is uncanny how the two pair up photographically. All you need now, is to convert your 2 white stripes into 2 b&W checkered Flag stripes. Francis |
Miles: Awesome pictures!
Jim: Could you set something up at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum for October 4th meeting after lunch so we can all get individual and group shots? |
