Finally finished

In case you see a green cobra roaming around the North Texas area I thought I would let you know who is driving. I just finished putting it back together after paint.
I started back in `05 and had been driving it in primer for about a year, but it sat for about a year waiting for paint. Finally it is in the first phase of being complete, but as we all know it will probably never be completely finished.
I'm waiting to mount the front nudge bars until after finalizing the front buffing, but I've also got the hoop up front.
As you can probably see I don't get to this site much, but will try to cruise this way more.
Don

Nice job

Looks great....... but I'm not showing it to my wife. She'll take one look at those drink holders and then I'll be cutting holes in my tunnel.

Have we (the motly crew) met you in person? Are you heading to San Marcos?

Don,

Long time no hear from!

Congratulations on getting it (for now) finished. Looks great. Hey I was wondering what happened to your progress. I might have seen you driving around in black primer.

Try to come to the Feb Dallas meeting....unfortunately I will be out of town, but you will be in good hands, sorta, with the rest of the crew.

Hi Don,
The car looks beautiful!! I love the "holy-crap-hang-on" bar in lieu of the glove box!
With this recent weather, hopefully you're getting some miles on it.
Hope to see you in Feb.!

Way to go Don!!

I got room for cupholders and still working on finishing out the interior, hmmm.
That gives new meaning to shaken, not stirred.

I am thinking my cupholders would probably do better for hot coffee rather than ice cold "soda."

Don,
the car look great! Bring it on down to San Marcos in March for the big get together so we can see it. Here is the info.

I love the color.............. Go Green!!

LREYBURN 01-22-2009 07:56 PM

Hey Don:
You are finally "almost done"...congratulations. I thought you were going to put those side pipes under and out of sight. Where is the roll over bar? Or, are you going to keep it kinda' street? Hey it's beautiful! You need to make it to the Feb. Meeting. See you soon.

Don,

Good on ya. Finishing your cobra is a great feeling. Especially when rolling down the road with the wind, listening to you exhaust note in stereo, one hand on the wheel and the other slammin the stick through the gears all awhile thinking....I built this baby! .Or.....Maybe thats just me who does that. :o:D:cool: Congratulations.

I've met some of the local guys a few years ago because John gave me a ride. I was just so envious every time that I couldn't bring myself to torturing myself around all those fantastic cars until I could join in.
John I was driving it around for a while in primer before getting it painted. My painter came by last night and finished up the final touches on the paint. I can't believe how nice it turned out.
He's a local kid that sold me on his previous work, but more importantly his passion for his art and is always thanking me for the opportunity to paint my car. I can't say enough good things about this kid.
I've got to get the cast/camber adjusted and have the transmission looked at before driving it around too far, but it should be fine for the next local gathering in Feb. Let me know where it will be and dates and location of the Spring Fling.
Where's a good place to stay?

Don,

Yeah, I remember you told me the Cobra rode smoother than your pickup!

Don:

Go to the Texas Forum and you'll find out all of the info regarding the March TCC Meet, the host hotel, registration site, etc. We hope you can make it. Stay tuned to the site because we'll probably caravan down to San Marcos from North Dallas.

BTW, that color on your car is beautiful.
