Second... those running the track were really getting into the late model's and those people really didn't want to do the banquet..so we were loosing money here as well. If you go to Tulsa you can see what it really takes to put on track events...Lots of sponsors. Unfortunately we just couldn't make the numbers work anymore..it was unfortunate. I will say the Texas 289 was a great way to go out. |
Greg,
I talked to Walter last weekend and he told me Mamacita's is moving across from the Convention Center near Target. Like a dummy I forgot to ask how many people they can accommodate in the new location. We eat there regular so I can find out more later. Have you and Dee met with the Hotel folks yet? |
Steve,
Dee is working on that end of it. He was downwith some back issues and then the hotel. We can discuss at the Rudy's Car show next weekend. |
See you there. It would be cool if we won the club award again. Mmmmmmm another free dinner event!
|
Rudy's MMMMMMMMM
Hopefully Dee's car will be back from Tony's. Took the car for a spin today. Got the car weighed. She came in at 2700 lbs. Full tank of gas. Saturday is wash and wax day. Water restriction so Saturday is the day.

Comments on Spring Meet Planning
Hi Gregg & Dee,
I agree with you comments to SSSammy and Jody's comments. I'm new to the TCC and have only the 35th Mid-America Ford & Team Shelby event to compare with. So, if the intent is to make this an annual business meeting with a bit of "car show" atmosphere, then I feel these things are necessary: 1. Cobra security is a #1 priority, followed by trailer & tow vehicle. 2. The Sat. Banquet/Business Meeting idea sounds good for the TCC and the hotel. They need to have a good ROI. 3. There needs to be a way to have "lawn chair time" around the Cobras to meet new friends and renew acquaintances. 4. Time to walk around the parking lot to see the other rigs is important as well, I think. This would be the the concerns from this OKIE. Max |
Looking forward to it!
|
Max,
The things you listed are exactly how the Meet goes. Very informal and we try to include things of interest to fill your day or you can lay around the pool or bar. the big event has been lunch on Saturday with a long cruise to follow. Come on down and join the fun! |
Spring Meet.
Thank you Seagull81. I am looking forward to it as well. Didn't realize when I sent the msg., but we have another event that same weekend so will have to make one of those choices. Grand kids in Magnolia, hummm?

Happy New Year TCC
Checking to see if a block of rooms has been set aside for the TCC in March.
Happy New Year to everyone, look forward to seeing everyone this spring. |
The meet website should be up soon. We are finalizing some things right now. More to come.
