Curious as to what you don't like about the Avon's as a street tire and why you prefer the SR's. I have a LOT of street and track miles on Avon's. I personally have never found anything not to like about them but am very interested to learn.

They are dangerous if they are not warmed up, they are useless in anything other than dry pavement, they break loose when pushed without much warning.

I agree they don't give much warning before breaking loose. I haven't found them to be dangerous or useless in any sort of conditions in 50k miles of driving. Thanks for sharing your experience.
