What do you mean by "outer bottom edges"? Only the outside edge on both tires?
|
Obviously, you need to do burnouts...it evens out the wear so they'll be slick all the way across.
Are you sure the inner edges aren't worn too? If they are...underinflated.
If not, and it's an IRS (assume it is given it's a Backdraft)...get it aligned.

Either to much positive camber, or the toe in is off. Or it could be a combination of both.

Also, I would get down and take a look at your car from the rear. If you can clearly see that your tires are towed in, try lowering your suspension. If your coilovers are adjusted way too tight, you will wear the outsides of your tires.
|
Center of tire=over inflated, Both outer edges=under inflated, One edge or the other or uneven wear across the tread is an alignment problem.

Yeah got to go with under-inflated.

Underinflated tires will wear on the inside AND the outside of the tires.

400 miles and bald on one of the edges on both the tires (that what I get from the post) sounds like a terrible alignment issue.

Hey guys Thanks. I am going to get an alignment done. Just hope that corrects the problem. It is only wearing on the outside bottom of both rear tires. Rest of rear tires looks great. Running around 30lbs in tires. Got to get the wear problem solved before I get two new tires as they are not cheap.

Don't be surprised if you have to buy new tires so they can do an alignment.
