Yes on the Nitto's

I have the NTO5's and love them. I've tried Good Year F1's and Dunlop, the Nitto's perform better, I have more confidence even when I race, and they look great. I even autocrossed and raced them in the rain.

You run the NT05 not the R correct?

Only problem is they don't have the 245/45/17 front in the NT05
but the nitto 555r come in the correct size for front and the reviews seem pretty good also.

I am in the same boat. Looking a nitto and unsure what to purchase. I want dry and if STUCK something that can get me home in the rain without a definite hydro or slip.

I am coming from toyo proxie RA1 and absolutely love the dry grip.

Also temperature is a big concern, the toyo become ice skates below 65.... found that out the other day the hard way. Recovered but definitely a white knuckle.

Much better tire than the F1's > BUT > remember, much softer compound = wear out much faster. F1's 280 compound, NT-05 180 compound. I like sticky.

Now trying Kumho Ecsta XS, same compound as the NT-05's.

I run NT-01's on the track. They're 100 compound.

Nitto NT01s for me on a Backdraft. It's a DOT road race tire. Have the tires heat cycled before they ship and give them a week or so to rest. They will last twice as long.
