Which 18" Tires, ya think?

I wonder who's got opinions, experiences, advice regarding 18" tires for my recently purchased ( secondhand ) SPF? I've got the American Racing/Shelby 18x8 front, 18x9 rear black center wheels and I want to rid myself of the 5-6 yr old BFG GForce Sport KDW's. I hear Michelin Pilot Sport S2 work well. I may go bigger rears than the 295's...

Nitto NT01s. 275 front 315 rear. A great cross tire that is streetable yet very competitive at the track. Will stick in the rain. And they look badass.....

You mention that you may want to go larger than 295s on 9" rims. Not sure how much the sidewall width of the tire extends wider than the rims with the 295s, but I've got 10" x 18" wheels and I can only run 305s properly. I don't know that much about tire sizing (Maybe one of you out there does), but race tire experts had advised me to keep the sidewall width pretty close to the same width as the rim width for optimum performance, and of course safety under track conditions.

These are great tyres made in the US by Toyo-you couldn't go wrong.

Good point. The Nitto 315s require a minimum 10.5 wheel width.

I've got the 18", and have BFG KDW 335's on the rear. They work fine, but will replace them with Nitto NT05's when the time comes!!!!

What would be the best wheel width and tire sizes front and rear with the 18" Halibrand too fill the fender arches .
