Hub hair pin clips

When I first purchased my Cobra, the Halibrand wheels had hub hair pin clips - placed in holes drilled radially through both sides of the hub. Over the years, they came off while driving.

Anyway, what is the purpose of the clips? Where can I purchase replacement clips? They do look 'cool' and since the holes have already been drilled I may a well replace them if they can be had at a reasonable price.

Any input will be appreciated.

You sure do - but $15.50 shipping on a $20 item seems over the top to me - so, perhaps I'll wait until I need something else to justify the shipping net cost - I'm sort of a cheap B......, but thanks for the input.

Hi Bliss
There is a glitch on the on line store we are trying to get our web master to sort out the shipping charges for small items.
Postage USPS is $4

Well, that's reasonable - I'm a buyer with that change - must I wait until the shipping issue is sorted out to order online?
