Ideas on how to tuck my wheels in

I have a CMC body but almost everything else is scratch-built.
I have 15x7 6 pin Trigo's with BF Goodrichs on the front. As you can see from the pictures, my tires stick out about an inch. The front suspension is unequal A arms from the Mustang fox body. Some thoughts I've had would be to machine away the wheels to increase the offset, thereby tucking the wheels in. Just curious if anyone has any ideas on how to get it to look right. |

The wheels can be machined some on the back but only a little on the 5 pins due to where the pin drive holes line up with the spokes. Then that requires the pin drive holes being milled the same amount deeper. |
Maybe shorten the nuts a small amount instead of machining the holes in the wheels deeper.

Just curious. In the first photo of the drivers side wheel, do you spinners loosen counterclockwise, tighten towards the rear as most do? If so, it appears the safety wire is pulling the wrong way. It should be pulling the spinner towards the tighten direction.

What is your camber setting? You get about 3/8" per degree at the shoulder of the tire. While it will not correct for one inch, it helps a bit.
I can't recall how much "meat" the 6-pin have which you could mill away. If you go too far in milling the wheels and need to shorten the pins, you may run out of hex inside the pins to tighten them. I suggest to contact the wheel manufacturer about how much you can shave off. Does Lynn still own Trigo? |

What about Factory Five front pin drive width tubular lower control arms and coil overs? They're a direct Fox replacement and tuck the wheels in.

Been buried with the brewery - we've doubled in size since October - love to catch up and get caught up! Just asked Tim about the a-arms: no, we didn't go with the shorter arms because the spring towers are right up against the arm as it is. Tim also thinks that bringing the tires closer will definitely rub.. :( |
If that's the case you can't move them in with that set up. You could make the wheels narrower (not really a good option) or make the suspension more compact with a coil over conversion. That's great news with the brewery, we will catch up soon.

Your spindles are on wrong sides of the car. It is not the freewheeling rotation of the wheels forward that should "tighten" the nuts but rather the more jarring braking action.
Or you just have the wire pulling wrong... |
