Ok, put the new SRs on and a wheel alignment and my what a difference to the old Goodyear Eagle GT II's. The SRs are one sticky tire. As someone said above they did hunt a tiny bit on deacceleration but we're difficult to break lose on acceleration. Then tread design is ugly but the tires run smooth. I picked up some tread wear lettering and my MTs now say Goodyear Eagle (:.

Well, the M/T SR's for the rear of my replica have arrived. I like the tread pattern, although I must admit it's a bit space-age looking, because these replicas are quite light in the rear end and I need better traction in water than I've had recently. The tread pattern looks like it should shed water better. That will be a welcome change, as my replica was fishtailing every time I gave it the least bit of throttle in standing water.
By the first of December I will have flown down to TX, where the tires and the car are currently located, and will have driven it back up to Kansas, where I'm living. I'll return to this thread and let y'all know what I think. Cheers! Dugly  |
Yerdug, I've been running S/Rs for 20K+ and am very happy with them. They have good traction, even when I've gotten caught in rain. I'll be buying them, as long as I can get them. I run 10x26x15 fronts and 10x12x26 rears and I like the way they fill my wheel wells.
