Are they only keeping the 2 dealers in the USA ? Roger Kraus is charging $655 for our CR6ZZ Cobra tire and I think it's absurd and will NEVER,....pay that for one fricken tire !!! For my Cobra, a set would cost... $2,480 Plus shipping Plus mounting and balancing Plus alignment That would be over $3,000. |

These tires linked below are cutting edge tires, amongst the highest preforming tires you can buy. They're roughly half the price of the Avon's. The price of the Avon's is absurd, especially for the poor performance quality of the tires. Basically half the tire for twice the price. The ONLY reason these Avon tires get bought is because of the lack of choice in our size. That's it. Compared heads up with other leading edge modern performance tires, they're basically a joke. $655 each is abusive, it's a bad joke what they price these Avon's at.

I dont think that is the ONLY reason people buy Avons. They are a nostalgic tire, they complete the look.

That is why I finally chose 17" wheels for my car.
I would have made the investment to convert to a narrowed rear axle to tuck the 15" X 9.5" knock off wheels I had if there would have been a decent choice for tires going forward. |
