2+2 Night Rally Kit
Just thought I'd post some pictures of the Night Rally kit I built for the Mustang.
I've been looking for one ever since I saw a glimps of this option four years ago in a Mustang Magazine. It was installed on a 66 Convertible GT-350 Clone. There was only a couple of lines about it in the layout artical, so there wasn't much to go on. They were only availible in 1966 through the Dealers. It relocated the Mustang "T" Bar Fog Lights into the lower Valance. Aparently not a well known option, because I couldn't find anyone who knew anything about them. After finishing up the Mustang and working the bugs out of it,I decided to fabricate my own Night Rally Kit. Using just the Magazine picture and a spare Valance, I managed to build a nice reproduction. I just need to install the Harness and switch then adjust the lights. Very nice looking! I never even knew of this option.
Thanks for sharing. I would love to find a 66 fastback to tinker on. |

A true work of art!;)
Nice job!!:D |
Hey Marty, you up for a little get together this weekend if the weather is nice?
Chris told me he wants to bring his Cobra out, Wayne's is off the road right now, maybe Eric can join us. How about Mickey, think he's up for it? See ya, Randy |
I see Micky now and then in his Cobra. I think he's still looking for his electrical Gremlin. I never got in touch with him about building a Cobra Body for Carl.
I'll get back with you shortly about this weekend. Marty. |
Marty, I just love your ride. Great job!

Love the pic!
Been busy working and re-doing the interior in mine. So far I got all the old ripped out and the trunk has been completed. Tomorrow I on the cockpit. The guy had a layer of 1 inch padding, a layer of black carpet and then the top layer of the tan carpet. Not to mention he used about 10 gallons of glue... It took forever just to rip the old stuff out, but the car should weigh a 1/2 as much now. ;) I'll try to post some pics this weekend. |
Your seats should sit lower too!
