mcleod racing slik stik for tko trans

was looking up info on clutches and came across this shifter. looks like it might be pretty nice unit, and looks like there are different offsets for the particular minded in where they want to put their stick.

i am not associated with nor have vested interest in this company.

This was actually developed by Red Roberts at McLeod, and I think it's marketed under his own company.

It's a very nice shifter, spring loaded, with stops, etc. As you mentioned, the best feature is that you can really tweak the position of the handle, up to several inches in each direction.

Vect, if you're needing info on a specific clutch, let me know. I can also provide pricing for you, better than Summit/Jegs, etc, etc.

i was looking at their website for instructions on how to set up the twin disc magnum force clutch. it has shims for the posts to position the fingers and i think puts different pressures on the setup.

thanks for the offer. you have anything on how to put a 8.8 irs together or a case spreader?

I spoke to Red at McLeod this morning.

Holy smokes does that guy know his S%@^ or what?????

I am upgrading from the single disc to the RST, and I will be talking to George at Rockland Standard about going with the Slik shifter.

I have the Pro 5.0 now, which is good, Red says his shifter is that much better.

I can offer a decent Club Cobra discount on the McLeod stuff if you're interested....

Another question for this thread is, does anyone use the front shifter socket location in their Cobras? Just seems like you could get a more "normal" shifter handle location if that were done.

No, but a lot of guys run the middle position, which is more of a 289 style location.

Brent,

Thanks, I have friends up at Lethal Performance and they are helping me with the clutch.
