Top loader adjustment shifter handle

Hello All,

I have a Toploader with the shifter ring on the base. I am also using the bent shifter handle with my setup. I am noticing that when I place my trans into reverse or into 4th the handle hits the ring.

Do they make shifter ring with a larger opening or do I have to grind a notch in the handle to except the shirt.

It is able to go into gear but if I dont put enough force which is not much it will pop out of gear.

I also tried moving the ring over a bit but I then have problems with 1st gear

Any thoughts?

Trans may be too low

Proibe You can raise the trans end with a spacer but you will have to off set this with changing the pinion angle of the rearend the same degree to counter the drive shaft when spinning. The hole should have only been cut after the trans was in location. Not sure about a bigger ring to cover the hole. Try to Goggle it?? Rick L.
