Non-threaded 3/4" hole in Tremec 3550. What is it ?

I was power washing my Tremec 3550 out of the car, and I just looked at a non-threaded hole apx. 3/4" and has a off-set bolt & washer. It's on the drivers side above the tranny mount.

Is it the speedometer gear plug in ?
I'm sure it is, just checking.

Yep, that sounds like the mechanical speedo hole. You can verify with the manual available here:

The electrical speedo sender is on the opposite side.

Yes, that's it.
Thank you.
