What starter for a 184 tooth flywheel?

I'm using a 184 tooth ring gear flywheel and would like to use an OEM style starter. Will that work? I don't think it makes any difference buy I'm also using a Quicktime bellhousing.

Thanks

Dan

I bought a standard rebuilt unit at Advance Auto for a 1965-70 Ford FE. It fits my Quicktime just fine!

Do you have a 184 tooth ring gear? I understand there is another commonly available ring gear with lesser teeth for the FE - like 176 or something. I'm trying to avoid the issue a member wrote about last week with the teeth stripped off of his flywheel.

Thanks
