B2 Motorsports

I just wanted to share my experience with Brent from B2 Motorsports. He continues to give sound un-biased advise and outstanding customer service.

I was looking for a transmission for my track only BDR but didn't want to have the weight penalty of a TKO or T-56. I had a stock WC T-5 behind a 640 hp motor and it was only a matter of time before it broke. Brent steered my towards the Astro R/R A-5 transmission which is capable of supporting 575 ft/lb and 650 hp. I so glad that he did! This transmission is the smoothest and fastest shifting transmission that I have ever driven! The 2-3 and even the 4-5 shift were just as fast as the 3-4 gear changes! In a T-5 this is truly impressive!

I also wanted a S-10 tail housing install so I could have a shifter position 8" forward of the Mustang T-5. Brent worked with his vendor and ensure that this mod was done correctly! Also since this transmission had a 26 spline input shaft I needed new clutch discs. He ordered the discs and had them drop shipped to my home. This all went of without a hitch even though I was deployed half way around the world.

So if your in the market for a transmission or most anything Cobra drive train related give Brent a call. He really is one of the good guys to work with. Thanks again Brent....Mac

What IS an Astro A5 trans? A highly modified T5, with additional support within the case, double snap rings to hold 5th gear in place and assorted "go fast" goodies to make sure it can survive.

Check out this pic of the whimpy T5 gears compared to the Astro gear set, impressive!

Mac,

It was actually a G-Force gearset. The Astro A5 gearset is made a little differently.

It's nice to hear back from customers. I appreciate the words.
