Doug-Nash 5sp reverse gear issues
Hello:
I have a Doug-Nash 5sp manual tranny in my Cobra and recently I have noticed that the when putting on the reverse to go up on my slightly inclined driveway it bucks out the gear. Any idea what could be the cause of this. The clutch was installed in 09 approximately 2500mi on this clutch pressure plate and t/o bearing. Tks for any advise. Basque1(Lou) |

Tks for your input, I don't want to play dumb, but, how do I go about this? Tks Basque1 (Lou) |
Depends on what type of shifter you have, at the bottom of the shifter handle are usually travel limit stops. They are bolts with lock nuts. You have to loosen the lock nuts then back the bolts out a turn or two. Then tighten the lock nuts down again. These control the travel throw of the shifter so as not to bend the internal shift forks or tear up the transmission internals.
