How to calculate rear end gear ratio
I have an 8.8 mustang rear end. I'm trying to calculate / ID the ring and pinion in it without pulling the cover off and counting teeth.
I rotated the 26" rear weals in gear, for 1 full rotation of the wheel, the drive shaft rotated 3.25 times..

A quick google for ford 8.8 ratios showed one at 3:27 to one.

Thanks, wasn't sure if it was stock or not.. looks like it is.
