Husrt Comp/Plus shifter ID?
Hi All
Could anyone help with the ID of this shifter. It was purchased under the assumption it was for a 'stang. It is to be bolted to a Toploader http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psa51affa9.jpg cheers |
The shifter mechanism is the same regarless of application, the mounting plate allowed for the location of the shift lever itself. Usually the lever came directly out of the mechanism and if required had a bend in it to move it to the left closer to the driver. The shift rods can be replicated or purchased. Here is an example of an OEM Ford shift mechanism on a T-10.

Must have been a tricky one though only one response:LOL: cheers |
There is a 4 digit # on the mechanism. (Facing to the bottom in your picture). This will help identify it's original application. Should be something like 8327. It will be just above the slot for the bottom shield. Bill.
