Mc leod
Is there someone here that has a mc leod gearbox?
If someone has one,are you satisfied with it. I'm planning on getting a new engine and gearbox installed and want to know if the gearbox is any good. The tuner that is going to build the engine recommended it. Greetings |
Here is my suggestion and it is pretty generic. If McLeod actually builds the gearbox themselves, it is probably pretty good. If they outsource it, I would not touch it.
I bought some items from McLeod a while back and to this day, they still haven't gotten them correct. All I get from them is "McLeod doesn't actually make that product. It was made on the outside". Who cares? It has their name on it and they sell it. Why do I care who made it for them? That is their excuse why the products are bad and why they can't seem to fix the issues. |
Should I go the tremec route then?
400 hp/650 nm torque? With a 3.54 rear end And 17" tires |
Yes, buy it from Liberty or Bret they will modify it to shift better.

As I am looking for a tremec transmission I came along a"close ratio" trans.
It's from ford racing,but it's still a tremec. Is this usable on the street? Can someone please explane the difference. Thank you |
