Toploader slave cylinder
looking for photos of slave cylinder mounting to a toploader 4 speed. I have a Willwood pull cylinder on my toploader / 429SCJ and need a better method of mounting. Push or pull doesn't matter, just looking for what you guys have done.

This approach is good for ERA's w/FE engines. It is out of the ERA manual, if I remember correctly. I am not sure how applicable to the 385 series engines it will be but it is at least good for some ideas.

close ratio Toploader. Went with McLeod HTOB #1305 (bolt on). 5 years/5000 miles with no issues/leaks of any kind so far. |

I found a random slave cylinder, allowing for 38 mm of stroke length.
The white sheet is a friction reducer because the fork touches the frame. Engine is mounted solid. |
Thanks guys, good ideas.

I went with a McLeod dual disk clutch, internal hydraulic throwout bearing. It solved ALL of my problems

Slave Cylinder
I fabricated this setup for my side oiler. This should apply for most applications and can be done on a bench with the bell housing to achieve the correct geometry. I even modified the fork to assist in clearances. Something to think about. Works great:
