Changing t-5 question

Is it possible to change the transmission without taking the bellhousing off the rear of the engine? I took the old one out this way. Jim

Jim if the new one has the same shaft and spine you should be able to. I have taken mine out and put it back with no problems.

Hello Jim,

You should be able to remove the 4 trans bolts, and the trans should slide right out. No need to remove bellhousing unless clutch/flywheel needs work.

so how do you take the tranny out and still support the engine? I'm going to have to move the car while the tranny is out so what is the best way to go aboot it?

Motor mounts should hold it fine. Trany back in and back on the road. Jim
