C-4 Tranny Info
Hey Guys,
A little help from the C-4 gurus needed. What is the tranny fluid capacity? Also, I need a source for a speedo cable and gear. I don't yet know the height of the tires I'll be using as I haven't ordered them yet; but I'll probably go with Goodrich Radial T/A's. My rear end is set up with 3.50:1 gears. Any help will be appreciated. Tony |
C4 takes about 10 quarts
To fill a new tranny, pour in 4 quarts, then start engine. These will be pumped into the torque converter, so immediatley add 3 more qts. while it is running. Still while running, put the tranny in all of the gears to be sure they all "catch" and circulate fluid.
Look under the car to check for leaks. Put in park and while still running check fluid. It will be low. Add fluid until full. Hope this helps. John |
