Correct throwout fork?
I have aC8AZ-B fitting to hold the fork and a McLeod p/n 16100 throwout bearing, but the C80Z-D throwout fork does not fit, it is too large a diameter for the throwout bearing and does not fit into the fitting attaching it to the bellhousing. Does anyone know the correct fork and where I can find it?

What is the diameter center to center of your throwout fork. I have two I bought off EBAY.

Fork Size
The C80Z-D fork is about 2" diameter and 10.5" center to center. The throwout bearing (McLeod) is about 1" 5/8" OD (no calipers, just eyeball). Either one of these ring a bell?

Also look in my gallery I added more angles. The top one uses a clip and the bootm one uses a pin for mounting. |
Almost
The top one with the clip is the one I need, only for a smaller diameter fork. Neither one in the photos look correct.
I appreciate the help and photos, seems nothing will be easy with this build.... I wonder if I can use a late model mustang fork? I am making another trip to the parts store this afternoon. |

All I can tell you is the throwout bearing that would fit mine was 1970 Ford truck. GOOD LUCK! |

I appologize if I overlooked your set up but I didn't see it so what engine and transmission are you running. I have both small block and big block forks at home that I didn't use. Clois |
