Polyurethane mounts
can anyone help me on where to purchase Energy Suspension Polyurethane motor mounts and trans mount? Thank You

Motor and trans mounts available from Summit, Jegs, your local speed shop, and more savy parts houses that can order virtually anything for you.
That being said, Backdraft needs to provide you with 351W specific frame mounts that drop engine 7/8", and trans mount spacer that does the same. 351W is taller than 302, and needs to be installed lower. 11" K&N aircleaner will just barely clear hood, and sidepipes will sit 7/8" lower, but level with body. Adjust with shims at trans mount to get sidepipes level. The hassle is worth it though. Poly mounts soak up Hi Freq vibrations, but solidly plant engine to frame w/o jiggling. Car rocks at idle instead of just engine. Nail it as hard as you want. Engine twisting in the frame causing untold engine-chassis contact and interference problems (air cleaner-hood scoop, j-pipes- body, headers- steering column, etc.) no longer exist. I'm a happy camper with mine, and none of the above problems. |
Try using the motor mounts from Total Control Products in CA. And the tranny mount from Energy Suspension.
