This thread was on the ERA site in October http://snipurl.com/ERAtrans and the consensus was that it can't be done without cutting something...I always removed mine from the top, very easy to do, and after reading that thread, I checked it out and pulled it out from the top again (had to change the clutch)...I think someone said they cut a gusset and replaced it with a bolt-in piece, but I found it simpler to pull it from the top.
