Era Guy's ???
Is there any hidden secrets to pulling my toploader out by removing the seats and floorpans? just looking for a little wisdom I'd hate to make a mistake on my snake.
Thanx Fellas, TR..."QUICK" |
If you have the bolt-in trans bracket, I've found it simplest to support the transmission, unbolt the bottom mount bolt and unbolt the bracket, then jack the rear of the motor up slightly...pull the four trans/bell housing bolts and slide it out (this assumes you've already taken out the tunnel, of course). Without the bolt-in bracket, I'm not sure, you might have to remove the rear mount to make room to pull it...

Thank you, Ken. I've only had the car for going on three weeks now and I appreciate your help.

Ken's advise (in reverse) is exactly how Doug at ERA told me to install my transmission
