Big input clutch fork question
I have been having some trouble getting my hands on a clutch fork for a big input toploader. They seem to be rare and when found are rather pricey. I have found one, but while I was waiting for it to arrive, I did some searching on Google. What popped up was a page from ERA's manual about the forks required. For the big spline input it has the following noted:

If I could figure out how this is done without weakening the fork, that would be awesome. I can get the small spline forks for $30 a piece at Napa and they always have several in stock! Thanks |
David Kee has the repops at $125.00 C8OZ-7515-D

The fork is case hardened and very hard to work. Die grinding will take multiple tools to get it fit.
I found two over the period of shopping parts. One was supposed to be a BIO, but ended up being the smaller unit. They are close enough that you may think the smaller will work, it does not. Just my $0.02 worth, buy a correct unit. |
Sal,
David is out of stock for now. He said he will get them in soon, it's just my luck that he's out now. trularin, Yeah, I just got the right one. Maybe I will experiment later with modifying a small block fork. |
Check with national parts depot. Thats where I got mine. They are on line. Do a web search for npd.
