Ford 392W with 3:11 rear, TKO500/600 ?

I am putting a Ford Motor Sports 392W Crate motor into a Backdraft racing Cobra. It has a 3:11 rear. The engine has 430HP and 450 Torgue. Which TKO should I use a 500 or 600. My concern is not just the torque but the gearing. The 500 and 600 have different 1st gears and the 600 offers 2 different 5th gears.

Thanks

Billy Andrews of HRE, one of the best known Cobra builders, suggested I use the TKO600 to mate with my 427 Shelby. Ist gear is 2.87, 2nd is 1.89, 3rd is 1.28, fourth 1 to 1, and I choose the .64 5th gear since I take alot of long trips. Rearend is 3.73. there you have my 2cents. Con
