Sorry Snake someone came by and wanted me to do some work....the nerve!:)

At any rate Keith Craft was running a 3:31 in his car last year at Run and Gun and it was very easy to drive on the street and track (very very fast too!). I still have the 3.50 gears in mine and they are a much better fit for me than the 3.70 that I had. My toploader is a Close Ratio (2.32 first, 1.69 second, 1.36 third, & 1.0 fourth). I am also running an aluminium flywheel and a kevlar clutch. So, I get a little more first gear wind than a TKO or a Wide Ratio. Never been a problem because I have enough hp to light em up at will.

I think if you choose the 3.50 gears you will be happy with your versatility and being able to cruise at a reasonable rpm on the freeways. I was mostly thinking of getting the 3.31 gears for tracks like Road America (4.2 miles w/ long straights) and Texas Motor Speedway (high banks of speed).

Thanks Clois, I think the 3.54 final drive will be the best for me. I went through all rpm/speed websites and there is only about a 100 to 300 rpm difference between the 3.31 and the 3.54. I am concerned about the comments that some members have said about the 3.31 and it not being the most fun in traffic and parking lots. As I said, most of my touring around will be in the city with the odd jont on the major and secondary highways. I think that I can live with the slightly higher rpm at those speeds for the short time I am on them. Thanks again.
