Forte's External Slave & Billet Fork
Anyone using Forte's external slave and billet fork on an FE?
|
Got it on a SB, if that helps. I bought his scattershield with mouted slave and the billet fork. Real nice set-up, li,ke it very much.

I used the whole Forte setup from crank to driveshaft and couldn't be happier. The clutch pedal is light and predictable, no chattering, and the best part is how closely it fits to the bellhousing. As you know it can get verrrrry close in that area.
I haven't tried any plate-melting, slipping-clutch launches yet, so I can't give a report on that. Come to think of it, I might not ever abuse the car that way. Good luck, Brian |
Did you install the external slave and fork on the bellhousing yourself or buy it that way? Do you have any pictures? I am having trouble setting it up and the kit did not come with any directions.

Snake,
It was a year or so ago and I can't remember exactly how it went together. If memory serves me correctly, it was a no-brainer - pretty much replacing the stock fork and bolting the slave cylinder to the bracket. Then bolting the bracket to the bellhousing. Sorry I can't be more help. I have a tendency to remember the problem installations longer than the easier ones. Brian |
