Which shift linkage for TR 3550?
I need to buy a shift linkage for a Tremec 3550. Hurst is good, I know. Which one fits the application for a CSX 4000 or Hi tech?
Thanks, John

The 3550 is shifted internally so there is no external linkage required, just a shift handle.

Really? Thanks for the information. I haven't got the tranny yet so haven't had the opportunity to look at it. I have the shift handle ......

Some of the older 3550s had set screw on the rear shift rod that would back off making the shifting really loose. Tremec later come out with a roll pin designed that fixed this problem. Pro 5.0 makes a good shifter and sells for about $200. It has travel stops and strong centering springs to improved 2-3 shifts. -Bruce

Question for Bruce
If the set screw on the shifter cup is becoming losse on the main shift rail, how is this corrected? My shifter is loose side-to-side in all gears and in neutral.
Thanks
