Transmission Leak

I have been having some leakage of tranny fluid both under the car as well as splatter on the tunnel. I look under the car and see a drop on the U joint but no noticable trail of fluid so I assumed it would be the rear tail shaft seal. I changed the seal and of course the leak and splatter is still there. It is a tremec 3550. If anyone has any ideas I am open to them. I also wanted to make check and see if the seal is correct. I was told it was the same seal as a ford t5 out of 86 on up mustangs.

Check the vent on the top of the trans.. sounds like it may be spraying out of there. Do a makeshift catch can to vent the trans up high and see if the problem goes away. Is there maybe too much fluid in the trans?
