TKO Clutch Fork Adjustment...
I bought a used TKO with the bellhousing and I'm using a clutch cable setup. How do I know if the clutch fork/pivot ball is adjusted properly? Is there a certain angle the clutch fork has in relationship to the back face of the engine block when the clutch is engaged... or a certain angle when not engaged? This is a "first time ever" install for me and I'd appreciate any advice that saves more work and grief down the road. Thanks...

It's actually pretty simple.
Assemble the clutch. Put the throw out bearing on the clutch arm. Clip the arm into place on the ball stud. Then bolt the bellhousing onto the block. Tha arm extends out the hole in left side of the bellhousing. You neeed 1-2 inches between the rear of the clutch arm, and the rear of the square hole. If it's more than that, you need to make the ball stud longer. If it's less than that, make it shorter. |
