Has anyone this Cobra in PA

Hi,

I'm looking at this Cobra and unfortunately there is no build-out paperwork or a previous owner to contact to. Has anyone seen it before?

PA is a rather general location....being your in NJ where in PA, eastern?.....northeastern?

Does it have a PA VIN?

Just because it is located in PA, does not mean it originated here.

From the window sticker (and lack of inspection stickers) I'm going to save a salvage auction?

Yes, it does have a PA VIN. It is at an auction now and i'm interesting in purchasing it. Unfortunately, i have no idea which part of PA it came from. No damage on the vehicle and it has clean title so i have no idea why it would end up at an auction. Would love to talk to the person who built this Cobra.

How is the car listed? if it is a PA title and state issued VIN it would start with SW, if you have that number, you might be able to call the state and find out the last registered owners name. otherwise, all I can tell you is that it is a Factory Five, most likely a MK II given the Whitby style convertible top that is installed. Couple that with the older style PS rims. That and it is a fairly bland build except for the heater, wipers, and top. Even the radiator is not aluminum, which is one of the first upgrades a builder makes. Add the hood pins, and the car most likely has a stock 4 link rear with drum brakes installed....

Thanks Bill. That's pretty much what i was looking to find out. What do you think this Cobra should sell for? All builds are so different from each other and it's hard to estimate the price.
I think I'll pass on this Cobra and look for other examples.

At an auction like that one, I won't even try to guess. All it takes are two people with large egos to got at it. Otherwise, I would say it is a 20K car all day long.

That's what i figured. It's already over 21K and will probably go for 25K + auction fees.
