Bill: Its amazing how your mind works.
:JEKYLHYDE  |
I should have my Venom ready before it gets cold. Does anyone live in Middlesex/Monmouth county?
Cheers, Jong |
Evan,
You should hear my answers for the standard rawshack(sp) test.............. Doctor: What does the first one look like? My answer: A Cobra Doctor: And the next one? My Answer: A dirty Cobra Doctor: and the final one? My Answer: A chick with her boobs hanging out of a Cobra! Doctor: Nurse, this one is just fine....Next :D :D :D ................. Bill S. Quote:

I'll go in the fall when my car is ready.
|
We need to set a date to begin and a location.
Any objections to Jack Coopers Deli on Mountain Blvd, Warren, N.J. Great Deli. Good parking. Well? |
I would prefer the Cracker Barrel in Mt Arlington, as far more people are closer to that location than the deli in Warren...........Then again, Pauls Diner in Mt Lakes would do as well...................
Bill S. |
Lets have a list of guys and addresses then decide whats most central for all.
Mt. Arlingtons a schlep for guys out this way. Maybe the Morristown area is better? What about Chester? |
I think the closer to the 80/287 split the better off for everyone.......There is the Empire diner on Route 46 in Parsippany roughly 1 .5 miles east of that interchange, easy on, easy off of both routes, and a straight shot back on to route 80 heading eastbound towards Manhattan. ....That is about as central as your going to get while still leaving enough room for all to attend.....................
Bill S. |
I disagree.
I suggest that suggested locations be listed and a vote be taken by all who want to participate. |
I respectfully disagree with those that disagree to agree on the spot of disagreement. ;)
Next thing you know there will be a hanging chad challenge to the "where in hell do we meet for breakfast?" question. :D I will be up inthe Bergen county area, without Cobra of course, I would say anything in the Morristown to Parsippanny area would be good. Maybe Summit as well. Can I come without a Cobra. I could bring my scale models! :) Jamie |
Lets all park around the Green in Morristown. Great place to hang out. Very central to all highways, and close to twisty country roads.
|
I will let you all debate the issue. When youfinally decide on the date and place let me know.

Evan,
The Empire Diner is less than six miles from Morristown...............yet closer to the rt 80/287 split than Morristown itself.............Seems to be the logical choice to all but yourself.............Chester is out as being too far west of this crucial interchange.................Same goes for Summit, especially with the rt 24 fiasco.................... I'll tell ya what. I usually go to Jack Coopers Deli in Warren right off off Mountain Blvd. every saturday morning at around 8:30 am.
Anyone who wants to join me. Thats fine. Anyone who doesn't thats fine too. I'll be there regardless. |
That's fine Evan, as a good majority of the rest of us will be meeting in Fairfield:
Meeting at Vinces Family Market, Rt 46 East, Fairfield, NJ beginning around 10am, and leaving to cruise at 12:30pm. Pretty much a group of Ford owners that have been doing this for a few years....bunch of Mustangs, Cobras, Lightnings, etc....everyone's welcome! Hope to see you there!!!! Bill S. |
ERA649,
Unfortunately, NYC and smooth roads in Manhattan are not doable. Expect to hit them, expect to dance around them, expect to scrape your frame....It's just a fact of life if your going to take the trip in. Some of us have learned to live with these things, others choose not to go so that their cars do not have to suffer the indignity of a pothole. That choice is up to you. However, whichever you decide to do, it will have to be early in the morning, as any time past 9am on a Saturday or a Sunday in midtown is exceptionally on the crowded side............ Bill S. |
Guys,
I've got a perfect solution for you. My wife and I, along with Mike Mack from Tri-State Motorsports, are hosting a Cobra get together/BBQ in Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 20th. We're going to have plenty of food, Cobra things, a huge field to set up and display our cars, cruise routes to take nice drives. You could cruise right through the Lincoln Tunnel on your way down. I'm sure there are also covered bridges in Lancaster that you could blow through (just be careful you don't shake them apart :D ). It will be fall, like you are looking for. Hopefully there will be lots of other Cobra owners there (we had 80+ people for the May event), plenty of things to do and plenty of driving. See my sticky post in the All Cobra Talk lounge, or my signature line for the registration form. Take a cruise through the tunnel on Sept. 20th and join us in Lancaster! Steve |
Out of Tristate area??
The idea of cruzing through New York City in the early AM has my interest. I'm not too familiar with the Big City and could get lost with little or no effort, being from Connecticut. Are there any others that would be interested in an early AM wake-up call on some Saturday or Sunday during the late Summer early Fall?
|
I'm game for an early Sunday ride. We could meet up on the north end and attack south.
Roscoe |
Make it a Saturday ride, and keep on heading south.....right to Lancaster.:3DSMILE:
