Club meet and can I fit into a Cobra?

Hi guys,
I am new to the list. I sold my 3000GTVR4 in order to buy a Cobra kit car, semi finished or finished. I have a few questions first"

1) I like the wide body style (wide fenders), what year Cobra is that, 65?

2) I live near Valley Forge Park (near Chesterbrooke) When is the next Cobra gathering in our area? So I can get some details up close.

3) I am 6'3" 220lbs Can I comfortably fit into a Cobra? or am I out of luck?

Thanks
Vinny

1: This would be the popular 427SC body style. 1965-1967

2: There are plenty of people living right in your area with countless different brands of Cobras who get together sporaticly. Check with Steve Klayman (aka: klayfish) as he seems to be the driving force in that area.

3: Provided that you get a car with dropped footboxes, and an adjustable seat track, you should be just fine. I know of several Cobra owners who are larger than you are, who drive their cars on a regular basis with no complaints.

Finally, in closing, whether you choose to build or buy, make sure that you work out your top budget first, then add 10-20% on top of that for a reality check........

Good luck, have fun............

Vinny I am 6'3', 240 lbs and I fit extremely well and comfortable in the Backdraft Roadster. there cars have a 2" extended wheelbase that is unoticable and wide enough to fix 17x11" rims in the back. they offer a very competitive price and the owners are A1 people to deal with. check out their website

whatever your choice, you can't go wrong.

Thanks for the info guys,
I will contact the guy who knows about my local meetings and try to get some more info. I think someone said that there is a hot rod get together at Chesterboorke the fourth saturday of the month, and that is this Saturday. I will try to make it.

Thanks
Vinny
