Clear Vinyl K&N

Some time ago I was looking for clear self-adhesive protective vinyl to place in strategic locations. I found someone posted a message that K&N in Fairfield was a supplier. I called them last week - they are not interested in selling small quantities. (Apparently they are now big time and dont want to be bothered with selling just a couple of sheets.)

Does anyone know where in NJ I can get "small quantities" of this stuff?

Cheers,

Jong

K & N just moved and I don't have their new address. If you get me the address I'll swing by there. They've sold it to me in the past and they might do it again.

Roscoe,

They were willing to sell it, but at $25- a sheet. The salesman was clear that he was doing it relucantly and suggested I find a "retailer". While he was polite, it was quite clear he didnt want the sale.

Their new address is: 198 Passiac Ave, Fairfield. If they sell you a sheet at no more than $5- I'm good for five sheets. But if he still insists on $25-, thanks but no thanks. If you get the $5/sheet and its not too much trouble, I would greatly appreciate it. I live in Monroe and can meet you to reimburse you.

Thanks for your assistance.

Cheers,
Jong

I got mine from the place that I buy my decals for work. He got it from a body shop. It is made by 3M. I would think you might be able to find it on line to order.

vinyl cling

Check dickblick.com They are an art supply house and they sell the stuff on 27" rolls by the yard for about $3.09 a yd. I think there may be a minimum purchase of three or four yards.

Are you looking for the removable kind that are a "static" cling type? Spray soapy water on and apply? If so, I've got a set of black ones that someone on another forum made. If you're interested, I can get you in touch with him and see if he's got clear.

Jong,
That 198 Passaic is the old address. Just went by there. Do you have a new address or their current phone?

Steve,

I'm looking for the static cling type, but clear.

BTW - I had high hopes of attending your 5 June event, but my son is deploying to Iraq and his unit is sponsoring a family day that Saturday. All the best for your event - looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the Tri-state gang soon.

thanks,

jong
