has anyone actually done the ny reg procedure???
any info would be helpful

Dave congrats and welcome.

NY is very easy - pay ya tax, and get ya plates. After that, a local auto repair shop will do a simple inspection for insurance purposes, plus give you an inspection sticker for the windshield.

NY is nothing like the unfortunate BS that CT state owners have to endure.

Both my Cobras were titled as 1960s Fords. What is yours ?

If you post the exact details that is on your cars current title, year and make etc....im sure others will tell you exactly how to do for your specific need.

I have to assume you purchased your Cobra used. It just is not that easy based on what I'm currently going through with a customer.

i went the proper way through nysdmv,yes its a hassle but i have my vin number-- now all legal--it was worth it
it is registered as a 2005 custom veh.first 2 years safety only--
3rd yr emissions based on year of engine block.if you go this route
have all of your reciepts and i mean all of them whether the car is a new build or purchased used..
