Pictures of the D&D/TTR GT Space frame.

Hi Guys,
I finally had a chance to upload some pictures of the GT space frame which comes with our roller kits. I will post a few more of the completed rolling chassis on Friday or Monday at the latest. The guy who ordered this one went for metallic silver, usually there black. We can supply frames in any color powder coat, some have an extra charge due to the extra processing required. You will find more in our gallery here at CC.

Mike, I'd like to understand the rear suspension geometry a little better, i.e. how it will work? I was always under the thought that the forward attachment points are closer together, so that if you draw an extension line from them that they criss-cross at some point forward of the car (but not too far). Looking at the adjustability, I'm not clear as to how that will be achieved and the car will hook, accordingly? Also, are the rear lower control arms beefy enough to handle harsh lateral loads (perhaps the same question can be directed for the fronts, too)?

Thanks for the insight and education.

Hi Dean,
The forward attachment points for the rear suspension are closer together, but the picture does not lend itself well for showing that. I have asked Don to send me a shot from the rear to show the turn in. He was busy when I called, but he said he will post the tubes stock dimensions and load rating for the 3/4 rod ends. The layout of the rear suspension is very close to Saber, Gt Supercars, Superformance and the original cars rear geometry as you can see in these pictures. D&D decided to go this way because it is a proven system. The uprights are made of steel, not cast which makes the set-up even stronger.

Those we make in house at D&D. They will fit Vintage wheel knock-off adapters as well as our adapters, I'm sure some others if they have the same threading. They are $250.00 a set, we have them in stock.

Is that the one that was started by George Cochran and John Hester that was for sale recently on the GT40's forum?

Hi Tim,
I don't know George Cochran or John Hester. I purchased the car from someone who knows John who is also a member of the GT40's forum. I guess they had purchased the GT from John some time ago.
