track events at VIR?
Can anyone tell me how many track events occur annually at VIR (or elsewhere close to Raleigh NC) where Cobra replica owners can track their cars?

There's a couple of sites that I go to. First there's http://virnow.com go to the tab "The Track" and click on Track Schedule. This is an all encompassing track schedule for VIR. Another site is http://trackdaze.com you have to register as a member with them but they have several events scheduled at VIR this year. Another site I use is http://trackschedule.com scroll down to the bottom of this page for their calender and links page. Links has all the clubs and tracks in the area. Their calender page is usually much better than it is right now. But they haven't updated it in a few months. VIR has hotels on site or the Sleep Inn, in Danville is close. I'm going to two events at VIR: April 23-24 with Track Daze and Ford SVT Superfest May 27-29. Hope this helps.... Mac |

CVobra Track Day at VIR
Another option is NASA, the mid Atlantic Group. I drove in their HPDE event a couple of years ago. The event was two days and the added attraction was a full slate of NASA racing. It was a great time. I made it a real special event by staying at the Inn at the track. The event was in July (I think) so the pool was a welcome relief. Many of the racers camped at the track.

They have a pool? I always stay in the garage suite!!!! I didn't know the Inn had a pool!

Pool at VIR
Yes they have a pool. It's up behind the Inn. They also have a neat bar and restaurant. When we were there the pool was almost empty so maybe it is a secret of some sort.
