Richmond guys....who knows FE engines best?

Need some help, wanting to get into the cobra world!

If I'm buying a Cobra and I live in Richmond, VA and want to have a PPI done on it, who can I take it to that will do best job? I primarily want verification on engine.

I'm surprised there are no Richmond shops or enthusiasts!

Racers, Machine Shops.

I have a '68 460 out of an old Lincoln in my Cobra. I found a mechanic who races Fords to build mine. With this "Obama economy" it's driving out all the old guys who specialize unless you can find a racer who owns his own equipment. I can ask my builder, I have not spoke to him in quite a while. I know some machine shop owners local to Chesterfield VA.

I'm curious, where did you find your FE (427 side oiler? 390?) if 427, is it vintage or a copy?

Xack.
