Introduction

Hello everyone,

I'm Scott McClain and I'm moving to Raleigh from Phoenix in October. I built and drive a Grey and Black FFR MarkIII car that I built in 2004. I'm looking forward to meeting all of the local folks and doing some runs. I would appreciate any gathering and run info you can provide.

Scott, welcome to Raleigh. There is a Cobra group get together the third Sat. of each month that is held at the Hardees on Creedmore Rd. The Hardees is right next to a new Walgreens Drug store and about 1 mile north on Creedmore Road from the Crabtree Valley Mall. Come and join us and get with Bob Jones to get on the email list.

Welcome to Raleigh. As Sam mentioned, there is a monthly get-together for Cobra enthusiasts in North Raleigh (Hardees on Creedmoor Road).

Send me a PM with your e-mail and I will forward it to Bob Jones--so you're added to the e-mail distribution list.

Scott

welcome to the east coast!

I'm a couple hours north in Va, but I have to ask. is the Arizona Cobra Club still around? my first cobra ride was in Scottsdale in a 351W powered FFR.

Yes, they are alive and well. Mike "The Pres" gave my wife her first ride in a cobra about 10 years ago, helping to seal the deal for me to build ours. You can see their activities on this site under the Arizona Cobras page.

Take Care, Scott

Hey Scott, and welcome to NC!

If you're settled in already, haven't run the western NC mountains yet and want to break the 'ole girl in right: weather-willing we'll be running the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway this coming weekend.

I know Bob's not going to be able to make it this time, but I'm not sure about the rest of the Raleigh crowd. Tentative schedule is here:

Otherwise, it's that time of the year... we'll probably get some other "fall foliage" drives in as weekend days allow.

Larry
