Used cobra
Started looking for used cobra .are there ever any priced in the 30000 to 40000 range .what year build and miles to expect

I believe we would like a little more info. on the kind of Cobra that fits your need's , in that kind of price range. You're more then likely looking at a used Factory Five small block, 4-5 speed. Or a lesser know kit, with again small block. More info. would help with your search, and help us, help you. Cheers Tom.

Not a lot any more and if you do find one be sure to have it checked out completely as the quality of the build may not be very good. Better ones even with small blocks are going to normally run kin the $50 to $75K range.

At that price I agree look for a nicely built Factory Five. There is a really nice one in CA for $40k, Coyote engine, TKO600, all new parts used during the build.

I picked up a Backdraft Racing, 418 cu. in., 5 speed Tremec ...in beautiful condition ...$38k
I'll clarify "beautiful" , the interior is perfect ... the body is almost perfect ... a few road chips but nothing that would prohibit me from showing it and in fact I did show it once this summer and won 1st / Best of show. I used the "Lemon Squad" for a pre-inspection ... would NOT recommend them... they missed too many small problems like the side pipes loose and broken springs, trunk lid loose and wouldn't close correctly and a few other issues that I've addressed. |
There are plenty! Keep your eyes peeled. Watch Ebay or craigslist or many other online resources for cars.. Just know what you're looking for and what you're buying!!

Cobra Country is probably the largest site of Cobras for sale and they've been doing it for a long time.
