Snake Day near Williamsburg, VA
It's Snake Day! We are doing Vipers and Cobras at the New Kent County Fair as part of a promotion with Dragon's Ridge, a new track being built new Williamsburg. The fair will be held at Colonial Downs, the horse racing track right off I-64.
The fair hours are as follows: Thursday, 15 Aug 6pm-9pm Friday, 16 Aug 6pm-9pm (Outdoor activites end at 11pm) Sat, 17 Aug 9am-5pm (Outdoor activities end at 11pm) Sun, 18 Aug 10am-8pm (Outdoor activities only) Friday and Saturday will be the big days. I have not been able to reach the fair coordinator yet to ask about sunday. I was told there would be no parking or admittance fees. I am hoping for Cobras and Vipers on Saturday for Snake Day! Dan, I am thinking of putting a kit together and am wondering if someone who doesn't know much about mechanics can do this and are there any special tools needed? I am in Chesterfield,Va. I am also wondering what is the best kit at the cheapest price.Every place is out west except E.R.A. and FFR,maybe Lone Star. What do you recommend?

Any additional info? I checked the website for the fair and there is nothing htere that leads one to believe that there is a "Snake Day" or other car gathering. I am interested in attending whatever, but need more info, if available. As a side note, I purchased the "McFezmobile" from Don Durner last fall. The car resides in Lousia County. What sort of activities occur in the general Richmond area? Always looking to do track time and bench racing. John |
